Miracle for Annabelle!

I'm sure every pet lover has had something happen at one time or another to their beloved pet. You know the one where they're in pain and you don't know what to do.

The last time Annabelle had an emergency trip to the vet I had no idea what was wrong with her. Her belly was round and hard, she wouldn't eat or take a treat, when I was finally able to get her to go outside she just sat there and wouldn't move.

After a number of hours had gone by, thinking that it would pass, it was still the same so I took her in to see her vet. A couple of hundred dollars out of pocket, x-rays taken and three medicine prescriptions later she was diagnosed with back pain and released to go home. Prednisone, a muscle relaxant and an antibiotic for three weeks and in time she was back to being herself.

On the eve of this new year Annabelle and her best friend, Chloe, decided to duke it out. I have no idea what their fight was about, I don't even think they knew. After almost knocking down the Christmas trees, glass balls shattering around them, the fight ended and all was quiet and back to normal. The next day, however, was a different story.

She woke up moving slow. Wouldn't eat or take a treat. Couldn't go through the doggie door or down the back steps out to the grass. When I did get her out finally I had to carry her back in as she just stood out in the cold not wanting to move.

Being a holiday I waited the day out to see if she'd improve. The next day was more of the same so I called the vet's office and they were able to refill one of the previous medications she had had before without me having to bring her in to be examined. I started her on the meds and then heard from a friend that her co-worker's dad was an animal chiropractor and could possibly help Annabelle. The downside was that he was about an hours drive away.

In the meantime, my friend sent me another email telling me of an animal chiropractor in the Charlotte area and I gave them a call. A little while later I had an appointment with Dr. Darcey.
Wow, what a miracle!

A 15-minute adjustment and Annabelle was like a new dog. Once we got home and she got out of the car, she was running, eating, happy and back to her usual loving self. And all without putting her through unnecessary x-rays or having to take any more medicine. It was less stressful on her and the results were almost instantaneous.

Both myself and Annabelle are very thankful for Dr. Darcey and her wonderful care! She's a miracle worker and Annabelle's newest best friend.
